The growing peanut planting area needs the evaluation of the technological package available for cultivation and in particular of the behavior of different varieties. The objective of this work was to evaluate four varieties of peanuts of different cycle available in the market, under the planting conditions of the North Central area of the Province of Córdoba. Different cycle varieties: High Oleic Short Cycle (CC AO), Short Cycle (CC), Intermediate Cycle (CI) and Long High Oleic Cycle (CL), were evaluated in two periods (2018/19 and 2019/20). The variables measured were: Coverage (%), Maturity (%), Yield in pod (Kg / ha) and Grain Quality (%). In the CC AO and CL varieties, the percentage of maturity reached was independent of the environmental conditions in each year. Pod yield values showed interaction between varieties and environmental conditions. The granometric quality showed stability in the CC AO and CL varieties regardless of the environmental conditions. The % coverage did not show a pattern of responses between years, while the yield was dependent on the variety * year interaction. In particular the Var. CC AO and CL the maturity and grain quality achieved, was independent of the years evaluated. The CC AO variety with less coverage, reached remarkable yield values, a high percentage of maturity and grain size, which positions it as a genetic material of great potential to be planted in the Central North zone.
